Clubs
Formerly known as the Seven Hills Toongabbie Wentworthville RSL Youth Club, we have changed our name and are under NEW MANAGEMENT.
2020 brought us a new committee, a new club name, a new outlook on our community, and a continuance of a healthy choice of activities for your children, and yourself.
Your safety and health are important to us, and please be rest assured that we are obliged to follow instructions as provided by our Government, and Sporting Bodies that we are members of.
Our current portfolio of sports are as follows:
Seven Hills Aikido
Aikido is a Martial Art, developed in the 20th Century by Morihei Ueshiba (O Sensei)
Aikido in its Nature is the use of circular, flowing movements originating from a relaxed body and fully centred mind an Aikido ideal, Regular practice brings a feeling of well-being and self-confidence that carries over into every aspect of daily life
The most outstanding feature of actual physical training in Aikido is the repetitious practise of various techniques until unforced movements flow naturally from within the body
The Classes are led by Brett Marshall, A student of the art of Aikido for over 26 years. Classes are taught in both hand techniques (Taijutsu) and Weapons Training (Buki Waza). Aikido Center Seven Hills accommodates practice for all ages, both Children and Adults.
Seven Hills Ballroom
Seven Hills Ballroom Dancing holds dance classes every Monday night at the Community Hall located on the corner of Best Road & Mackenzie Blvd Seven Hills.
The Children aged from 5 years – 25 years are able to participate in competitions throughout the year. We close during the School Holidays & on Public Holidays.
Ballroom classes resume 2nd week of the school term the following year.
Seven Hills Judo
We are a family oriented Judo Club that have fun learning Judo with safety a priority for our committed, dedicated Sensei's. Beginners are always welcomed. Just bring your curiosity, a respectful attitude and be rewarded in all that Judo has to offer.
Judo is a tremendous and dynamic Olympic sport that demands both physical prowess and great mental discipline. From a standing position, it involves techniques that allow you to lift and throw your opponent. On the ground, it includes techniques that allow you to pin your opponents down to the ground and control them.
- Judo does not involve kicking, punching, or striking techniques of any kind.
- Judo does not involve the application of pressure against the joints to throw an opponent.
- Judo involves no equipment or weapons of any sort.
Instead, judo simply involves two individuals who, by gripping the judo uniform or judogi, use the forces of balance, power, and movement to attempt to subdue each other. Thus, it is simple and basic. In its simplicity, however, lies its complexity, and mastery of even the most basic of judo techniques that often take considerable time, effort, and energy, involving rigorous physical and mental training.
